Default Simply Amazing!

Ya'll know I like to keep my car looking nice, and that I used Meguiars products that took me all day to put on and take off. Well, I was turned onto Mothers and the Results as INCREDIBLE and it only took me a little more than an hour to go through Mothers 1-2-3 process. 1-pre-wax-cleaner, the INCREDIBLE #2-Sealer & Glaze, and #3- Pure Carnauba Wax!

Pictures are worth a 1000 words, GOODBYE Meguiars, HELLO MOTHERS!!!

So what do you use?

I like Meguiars and Mothers. I just have to test each of them on this car. Mothers worked better on my Saturn.

Yeah... I know... But it doesn't compare, and I was with you up to today. If someone said, try this Mothers it is great stuff, I would have laughed at them. But I watched it in action first yesterday, then I bought and tried it for myself. I have everything Meguiars makes... Hundreds and Hundreds of dollars worth of Meguiars products. I guess what I LOVE about this Mothers system is the #2 - Sealer & Glaze. You cannot make an oops, because it will fill it and seal it and that little oops never shows up. It totally blends it into the clear coat. The other part of it is... I don't have to work it as hard, the chemicals do the work and I am done (wash, minor scratch removal, glaze, seal, and wax) in less than 2-hours. I can fish again, golf again, and enjoy my weekend. With my Meguiars, detailing the car was an all day affair. I loved the results, but I love the results of the Mothers and it took a fraction of the time, and equipment (towels, applicators, pads, etc.) -- less to clean up and wash.

Until you try it, and if you are a die-hard Meguiars guy like I was -- it going to be hard to convince you to try it... You will never believe it!

I was never a Meguiars fan until NXT came along. I started using it about a year ago on the wife's PT Cruiser (deep cranberry pearl), and was so impressed with the results I thought I'd give it a try on my SS. Well, it looks good, but not as great as I had hoped...maybe it's the black paint. I used Mothersfor years, then tried Liquid Glass on a couple of my cars.

Anyway,if I were totry the 3-step Mothers system, would step-1 remove the NXT that's on my car now? If I go that route, I'll probably claybar it again, as well.

I'm sure it would... But one car wash with "Dawn" dishsoap will insure you remove all protection.

OK SPACE...
I have to tell ya, I'm apprehensive... Why? Because you recommended Mr. Clean Car Wash... I went out and bought it. All I wanted it for was the NO DRYING Feature... It didn't work at all, well.. at least on my car and it may be because I have a 1/8" of wax on it... but it did not work. So... I have to ask you, do you do this so others try the product and then tell you if it works, or do you use the products and love them, and just want to share? I do know you feed a lot of good info on this forum, but I still need to ask this question and do you have pictures of the 5-star shine on one of your cars?

Hi Craig,
First, I haveused Mr Clean Car Wash, & it works if you make sure
you have a good/new filter. Several members also have posted
good/positive reviews on Mr Clean. It also has good ratings
if you do a web search on Mr. Clean Auto Products.
Personally I've never used 5 Star, but I know that many high enddetailers
use it, and also many marina's use it on their boats.
I posted to to share information, & comparison test of products.
It's up to the reader to make up their own mind.
I've learned it pays to do your homework on all purchases.
I'm sorry that Mr Clean didn't work for you : (
Maybe I should post a disclaimer.
[:-]
Craig don't you work at a dealership ?
Don't you have a detail shop there ?
Have you asked the manager of the detail shop what he is using, and what he thinks is best ?
When I see a super clean machine, I always ask the owner what
products he is using on his ride.
Good Luck on finding the products that work best for you.
I know trial & error can be expensive & time consuming.
~ Peace ~

SPACE... I'm not mad at you or anything... I did buy the replacement filters (2) because I thought may be the original was defective. But no... it just didn't work. Again, my car has more wax on it then a normal car, and it is probably the case. Nothing for that chemical to bond too.

As for the 5-Star... I just want to seepictures and hear from somebody who actually uses it before I decide to spend money on it. $68 is nothing... Here is a guy that uses $9,000 car wax!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkmZveqyU5E

Oh... He CHARGES $7,500 to Wash & Wax a Car!!! 10-Cars a year and I would be happy... 1 car a week and I would be in Heaven!!! "Damm IT! These 5-hour work weeks are Killing Me!!!"
