Black and red are a hot combo. Aslo light siver or white stripes look good too.

As for roof or no roof, I would recommend you decide what you like the most.

 

Metallic charcoal or silver, I like subtle, and the darker stripes are more subtle. They should have any color you want. Red is too much. White is too brite.

the wife says thanks to all! we're going with red, no roof stripes and im gonna paint em on. that way i can match the stripes to the red interior color.

 

My $0.02 worth IF/WHEN I get around to putting stripes like these on my '06 I plan on going with the roof stripes. My g/f says it doesn't look right unless they're there. And I tend to agree. (or get in trouble. hahahaha)

I do like them on the roof.

Just rounds out the stripe package in my book.

 

Good choice IMO. You'd probably have the only monte of your year, with red racing stripes. Making your car truly custom.

Also, since your painting them on, you can make them as wide and as far apart as you want. You're not limited to the size and spacing the factory pre-determined.

The Shelby is hot in general. Much more so with stripes, but I think a monte would look good like that.
