Default paint polish on glass?

I heard through a grape vine that you can use paint polish on glass and it will inhance the shine of the glass. I am asking your opinion on this if this is right.
Thanks boys and girls!

I'm not sure about the shine, but I use paint products on my glass to keep them clean. Waxing the front windshield means rain beads up and runs off of it and sometimes you don't even need to use the wipers. Waxing the glass also makes it easier to clean bugs off of it, just like waxed paint.

Yes, you can use compounds/polishes/waxes marketed for paint on glass. Compound will remove minor scratches and pitting. Polish will leave a smooth, high gloss finish and (as Justin mentioned) wax will allow water to bead and roll off the same as Rain-X. It will also make it more difficult for industrial fallout, acid rain, etc. to adhere to the glass.

I've read reviews on other forums about this product, and it is highly spoken of. The thing you need to realize with this product though it's a permanent sealant. That means your paint needs to be absolutely perfect prior to application. Otherwise any scratches, discoloration, hazing, etc. will be trapped under it and you won't be able to correct them. This product is usually used on brand new cars or a fresh paint job after curing and detailing.
