never put touch up paint on top of rust.

if the ones on your hood are too bad you can always look into re painting it. but theres a lot of things to keep in mind there like: tading of the paint, $$$, time , but it will pai off and look better than anything else. one of my buddies did it to his car and the paint was exactly the same color and now his hood looke even better than mine even though he got it painted 2 yrs ago.

yeah i have one of those rust-off pens, they do work great.

Ill check out the rest pens. I didn't think it was a good idea to put the touch up paint right over the rust. Does any clear coat work or is there specific gloss that I should get?
