Default I messed up!! Please help!!

Alright everyone, so if you had seen my pictures after using VHT spray, my tail lights did not come out to well.

Well today I decided to just finish off the bottle of it that I had, and they were looking so good and shiny, because I guess last time I just did not do a thick enough coat of it, and while it was drying, I had a little left in the bottle, so i thought "hey i might as well just finish off the bottle." well, big mistake.

It started dripping, and looked bad.
So i went to the store and bought a new bottle of the VHT nite shade, and also 2000 grit sandpaper,

So in the morning when i know its completely dry, i am planning on sanding it down and re-spraying it.
Is this the best idea to do to fix it or what?
Please help, any info would be great.

sand it to the red, or its going to be very uneven. Pic up some clear while your at it.

So sand the old VHT all the way off?

And i do have some clear coat, i used that last time after i sprayed on the VHT, but now i found out the VHT already has clear coat mixed into it.

Well unless your very careful sanding at night youll be able to see dim spots and bright spots on the lights when its coming through. And if you think the vht will handle its own without clear i guess its all just opinion.

So if i just sand odd the vht back to the red and redo completely i wont have dim spots?

i only have about 5 sheets of the 2000 grit paper, should i do it wet or not?

with grit paper you always want to use it constantly wet, always keep the grit paper wet when using it

I used the VHT and to be honest I'd go for the clear coat b/c I did one tail with it and one without and with it it looks more shiny imo
