Well they certainly put the V8 in the SS models. Not the LT or the LTZ models though. There is a slight difference between the AFM engine and the DOD engine. I can't remember for the life of me what it is at the moment though.

@Trewyn-LOL! You're crazy!

[quote=Ricks 2006 SS;370949]I went to that website what has the Vinyl letters. But they only make the 5.3 L nothing for the lines.

Rick - I used red vinyl pinstriping on the lines. It looks great and so far hasn't peeled off. In the pic I sent you, you can't tell which is painted (the numbers) and which is striped (the lines).

Morning Angie: Well you got me thinking this morning. After a few cups of coffee & a shower to wake me up. I'm off to the Hot Rod shop. Looking for pinstripping . Going to check this out see what I can come up with. More on this subject later today.

Hey: Well it's been a long day here trying to get this together. But it's not working out for me just yet. Ohh IT WILL. But I'm going to need time. I got some pin stripping tape. I came home & sanded down the cover where I had to. But used the wrong grit paper. So after i re painted it. It looked like crap with the rough marks from the paper showing thru. So in the am. I'm off to buy some 400 grit wet & dry. This is not going to deat me! This will be something to be proud of. Also anyone that has a V 8 cover that they would want to sell I will pay for one & shipping to my house.

I just read through this entire thread. Gave me some ideas. With my Monte being black I'm gonna use red in the engine bay to create contrast. Should look good once my ideas end up actually on the car lol.
