Default Glass cleaning question

Hey everyone, so I have some questions for you guys who have been detailing cars for a while. I really have only gotten into really cleaning my cars and things like that when I got my Monte Carlo. My first car was just something that took me from A to B and I never really took to the time to clean it. Now that I have my Monte I try to keep it clean as much as I can. But being that I have really only been doing it since I have had the car, which is about 6 months, I'm still learning what products and good as well as just better ways to clean it. So here is my question, How do you guys clean your glass? It seems like no matter what I do I end up with streaks. And on top of that I can still see stuff all over the glass. I have done some research and I had seen that one guy uses 0000 steel wool, but that sounds crazy to me. Would that not cause scratches? Thanks for any help guys.

If you dont have tinted glass,

Use windex and newspaper!

Guaranteed to be streak free!

If you are constantly streaking, you might be either using too much product, or the glass could be too hot.

I usually just use invisible glass, either in the morning or in the evening, and you need to rub it in a lot until the product is basically gone.

Streaking was a popular fad back in the 70s where you ran naked through a public place. Oh the memories...

Streaking can also be caused by an accumulation of acid rain, industrial fallout, etc. on the glass. There are products on the market to remove it, but a fine grit rubbing compound does a great job removing it. Follow up with Stoner Invisible Glass. You can also minimize streaks by wiping in one direction rather then back and forth.

I use invisible glass with a news paper in a cool place out of the sun (Garage).
If you do have contaminates on the window a clay bar (regularly used on the paint) is also good on windows (used with detailer spray)

I would NEVER use any steel wool on a car window

I use Invisible glass cleaner it works great and is safe on window tint as well. I use a microfiber towel to wipe them off. Yes you can use 0000 steel wool. When I got my windows retinted the guy at the shop used some to get the old ashesive off the window. He also did all the outside windows whiched help remove all the water marks that had etched the glass. You can also use one of those steamers with a microfiber towel on it to clean the glass.

Our windows are hard to wash anyway. Stoner invisible glass is good or if you like a liquid cleaner armor all makes a tint safe glass cleaner. I also like to use newspapers to clean with.

You can use coffee filters to wipe with instead of newspapers. I use Jax Wax Streak Free Glass Cleaner, it is so easy to use, great formula. Jax Wax recommends using a MicroFiber with their cleaner.

Well newspaper is best choice then any other towel...but today the best thing is steam cleaner.. yes you can use them some good glass cleaner.. because the steam helps to remove the water spots from the window glass. I think you should try that, its not a expensive thing.
