if you get a water based dressing you can water it down more to keep the shine down. i dont like the really greasy wet look either.

Frank, what do you use to "clean" anything first ?? Is the CD2 available at say O'Reilly, or Auto Zone ?? That is what we have here.

Ugh, I hate living on gravel. I normally spray it with water, simple green and wax all of my painted stuff. The key is to dry it off. And I suggest you avoid the engine shine products, it will leave a white residue.
Here is an older picture of mine after some detailing, since then I painted the radiator support though.

this engine detailer doesnt leave a greasy or any kind of white residue left behind :p i buy it at the local autozone, i think its like $8 or so. it works great leaving all hoses and other black trim nice and shiny

For people that live on gravel deffinitly don't wanta use a dressing I learned that the hard way but I live on gravel an my monte is no show car but it is nice an I do take pride in my vehicles so bout once week I wash my car an hit the engine bay with some engine bright it just ur basic degreaser for ur motor an it works great bout cuttin the grease

I think it might have been the majic or whatever brand, in the red and black can. Looked amazing at first but all of my black started to look grey until I wiped it off.

I just used the CD-2 on my truck, and my boyz cars. WOW, it works well !!! (if you don't live on a gravel road, I'd recommend it !!!)
