Detailing supplies question
#11
I always bring my stuff in. I have accidentally let a few things freeze, on thaw out it all separated and I found the stuff to be very streaky.
Spray waxes, spray detailers, leather conditioner, tire dressing, and NXT2 wax all didn't unfreeze well.

Seems everyone has a different story, & different ideas, etc.
I started getting my cleaners, waxes, etc., together when I started "showing" my first car (1982 EL Camino) when I was 18 in 1993.
I live just a handful of miles north of Syracuse, NY, USA. It likely does NOT get as cold around here as the gentleman in Minnesota, but I promise, after November 15th, water will pretty much freeze at one point, every day, until about February 25th.
I have never, & I repeat, I have NEVER(!), done a single thing to ANY detail cloth, chemical, wax, etc., etc., etc., I all my years, & I still have stuff from 8-10 years ago that I use sooo sparingly that I just shake the **** out of it in the Spring, & use accordingly ... Yeah, it had "separated" in the cold, so I just shake it harder, longer.
My garage has no continuous heat. I turn the furnace on about 45 minutes before I want to be out there for a bit, & shut it off before going in, or elsewhere. So I will raise the temp in there from the teens to 70+, & back down maybe 50+ times a winter, & I have not bought a new bottle of anything (unless I ran out of it) in at least 5 years.
Two cents, of course.
Want two more? Astro Sheild.

winter
Did he just call me a gentleman. . Yeah i'm all ready putting my stuff inside my milk crates to store downstairs. Its already starting to cool way off at night now here. The 1st part of Dec is when it will hit us with - degrees around here. I so look farward to that crap.I put my waxes, polishes, car wash stuff and paints in one of the two bedrooms downstairs for the winter months. It's the guess room during the yr. But after Thanksgiving NO ONE wants to come visit here. They would have to be crazy! So most of my Chevelle & Monte stuff goes down there for the winter.

You should keep your products in the house not your trunk or garage it gets to hot and cold in there and will ruin them. I have several thousand dollars of products because I detail cars I cant afford to lose them.

Hey, Rick's06SS:
I have this cute, little thing they call a small block Chevy ...
It started out life as a '72 400 ... until my Pop & I got our hands on it.
I just posted a whole write-up on stuff on the "Off Topic" section.

On some of the labels it says DO NOT FREEZE ! On some it could crack the container. Like I said before. I never did this either when I lived in southern Michigan. But here in Minnesota where it gets to minus 22 below for weeks. You bet I put all my stuff in the spare room downstairs. Rather be safe then sorry. Been there done that Lesson learned....
