Default Coverking Custom Seat Covers

So I was looking into buying a pair of custom seat covers for my 06 Monte Carlo LT, but my headrest is not removable. Is there anyway to take my headrest off without damaging anything?

The headrests are removable. They just take a little bit of work, and there is a clip for the seatbelt holder also.

Hopefully RickAKATed can chime in, because he replaced his headrests with the headrests from the Impala SS (because they are embroidered)

When you pull the headrest all the way up, you should see a little rectangular button, you would wanna push that in while pulling up and it should release the headrest

(unsure if it's the same for the 7th gens)

I bought the coverking custom seat covers for my previous car. I loved 'em. Excellent quality and workmanship. Highly recommend them. They fit so well that a few people thought I took the seats to a custom upholstery place and had them re-upholstered in leather.

But back on topic...

When you get the headrest off, and you go to put the seat cover on. Coverking punches a hole to stick the headrest through. For a better and more custom looking fit, I used a sharp utility knife and carefully made the hole a tiny bit bigger. Then I stretched the seatcover underneath the round plastic pieces on the top of the seat. The two pieces that the headrest go into.

It's not hard to do. And it really gives that custom look.

Very easy to remove the head rests... As ChiBi said you just pull them up and there is a button to press in and they just come up. Not hard at all.
