does the dash bezel behind the steering wheel have that rubber coating on it too? and how far did you have to sand those? i was thinking of having mine powdercoated because i know that powdercoating is durable ive been quoted just over 100 for the dash bezel. center console top, and door lock trim pieces. just gotta save a little money up after a few things!

I just sanded it all down until i knew all the armor all was gone, I know thats not to helpful, but once it got rough to the touch i switched to a high grit paper, then rubbed it down with alcohol. I didnt want to touch any of the parts that had the rubber coating on it, all i painted was the textured plastic.

You can powdercoat plastic? I thought it had to be baked on.

yeah, some people say they bake it at 400f and someone said they have done it before at 200f for a little longer and it works. the plastic pieces are abs plastic so they should hold up to that. but i guess its more of a test the first piece i do....lol

**** its been almost 2 years now and the paints finally flaking. Everything has held up great except for the driver side door handle, the insides worn down to the bare plastic. Lasted a hell of a lot longer than i expected lol.
