Default Headlight covers and colored bulbs

If I buy a dark headlight cover and get some blue headlight lamps would they cancel each other out? I mean, the blue light wouldnt seem so blue if it were shrouded by a dark shade. Although the cover claims it doesnt diminish the intensity or color at all, it just makes sense to me that the blue headlight lamp would be useless if i had the cover or vice versa. Help?!

What dark headlight cover claims not to diminish the light at all? I know the clear ones don't but the tinted ones I believe all say for show use only...I can tell you the dark headlight covers diminish the light GREATLY... even with intense bulbs (I just have syvanias) the light is greatly diminished especially if driving down an unlit road at night...
