Cleaning windshield
I cant believe noone has mentioned INVISIBLE GLASS from Stoner. All the vette guys swear by it and its amazing. Does not leave streaks AT ALL! Go to your detail shop and buy some proper microfibre window towels. You will be amazed at how well the microfibres "grab" the glass remove the residue.
If you are talking about the "haze" on the inside of the car, this is caused from the evaporation of "armor all" type products. Petrolium Distillates are not good for your dash or other areas as they soften the glue holding parts of your dash/other areas together. Use 303 Aerospace protectant, it contains no PD and is amazing on leather, dash pieces etc.

That's an excellent tip! I had no idea that the Armor All products cause that. I have been living with it for a while now.
Yeah, I forgot all about Invisible Glass. That is some good stuff. You think it could take care of the haze on the inside glass? If so, I'm gonna buy some tomorrow!!

Sure it will take care of the haze on the inside of the window, but you have to remove the root of the problem first. Take a damp cloth with some mild soap and wipe down all the interior dash pieces to get rid of any old armour all type products. Then apply some 303 aerospace protectant..
armorall is murder on anything, i wont use it on any of my vehicles, have you heard what it does to your paint if you get any on paint??? i had a part of my dash in my dakota painted to match the outside of the vehicle, got a little armorall on it and had to repaint the whole thing again!!
and yah that meguairs stuff works really good, i stock it here @ the store, have a few people ask for it when they come in.
i wonder if that liquid glass is something we can get up here

Get's my vote. Wish I would have kept the stock dash out of my girlfriend's '81 Monte. I'd show you want the stuff does to a car's interior.
I had to replace the entire dash. Not the gauge cluster. The dash itself.
The newspaper thing. Wrinkle the newpaper up before you use it to wipe with. It does a better job of shining the glass for you.
My personal choice is a good glass cleaner. They do sell automotive glass cleaner in most retail stores in the automotive sections.
When I wax the car, the rag I clean the wax off with I use it to shine the glass. It works great. At least for me. I've done this for years on more then one car.

DAMNIT!! Well, I guess I know what my Saturday morning job is!![&o] Gotta get that murderous Armor All off my dash. What about their Tire Foam product? I use that more than anything else, and have been doing so for many years. It's actually my favourite car care product. Should I give that up too?[
]Yes, I forgot to say that about the newspaper. To crinkle it, that is. That is very true
well we're on the topic of armorall... i use turtle wax platinum series "ultra shine protectant" on my dash. for a few day's its kinda wet looking and a little sticky. but since i bought my car in march i only had to use it twice. sure i had to dust my dash but it stayed looking very shiny and a little darker... but lasts for months. My question is, becouse the ingredients dont say what's all in it, is it safe to use on my dash?
