you just need to make sure its clean, and you use proper technique.[/quote]

Jaws - I'm still seeing swirl marks. What do you mean by "proper technique"?

ALL my windows are 20% tinted, except the windshield, of course. All I do is to wash the car, then dry it with a microfiber cloth, the windows have water spots, but that's a given. What I do to remove the water spots is this: Rain X aerosol foam, and ALOT of elbow grease. That works for me, OH...and the *up and down* motion.

Are you referring to paint. What steps products did you use.

Yes, there are swirl marks that don't come out with rubbing compound, waxing, washing, everything except sandpaper! I use mostly Meguiar's products - this spring I'll try clay barring the whole thing. Do you think that will take out the deep down swirl marks?

You cant remove much if any swirl marks by hand it will require a machine buff, DA(orbital) or Rotary.

Clay Bar Will not remove swirls at all, you actually have a small chance to make them worse if not done properly.

I can help you look for some DA polishers if you would be interested in one and some compounds and polishes to use with it.

buffing out swirls are usually not an easy thing for the normal person..most ppl make them worse when they try to do it on their own

My Torino has some swirls in the windshield from where some previous owner tried to fix it... it kind of needs another windshield.
