sounds about right...i usually dress my tires before i start on the inside of my car so it can soak in while i am working and then wipe before i pull out of the shop door

I guess that's why my original tires on my 03 are lasting as long as they are.

my dad still has his original tires on his 82 indy pace car not sure how but they still have nice tread on them and no cracks

Another vote for Meguiars Gold Class Endurance. Have never had a problem with slinging off of the tires. ANYTHING will sling off of the tires if you use too much. If your afraid that it will sling off wipe your tires down after they sit awhile, before you go for a drive... duh!

As far as tires lasting... don't think tire shien has much to do with it. They oftne start cracking on the inside where no one cares for them. A big thing is don't park them on the dirt, leave them on pavement if at all possible.

This is what I use, it holds up like a dream, lasts awhile and ever since I started using it I have had no sling on the car. Its super easy to apply, and does a great job.

any of the turtle wax "ice" products including their tire shine and car wash work great. i get great results from the entire line. highly recommend

No, I recommend it, it's just you have to be careful with it. It's slimy, IDK. let it sit and rub off the excess.
