The filename of that picture (Montelicious.jpg) threw me off. I thought it was a picture of Montelicious Lisa's car for some reason.

Here's a picture - the black vinyl strip covers the center of the stain but you can see where the surface of the dash seems to have eroded away.

i agree it's peeling and the white is the underneath of the silver, theres not really much you could do other than have to actually replace the piece, unless your an artist and incorporate it and paint some other stuff around it

That would be fun, to paint a design over it - if I had any artistic ability, but I don't. Don't you wonder what kind of noxious chemical was in that cardboard air freshener, that it dissolved the finish???!!
