what is the significance of the red SS vs the silver SS?

and just as a clarification, only the first link you provided is of an 06/07. Rockn's car is an 04 as the name implies.

this would be like what I am referring too. this is a red emblem on the back of a 2006 Monte Carlo SS so the color of the emblem makes no difference a 2006 or 2007 Monte carol is the same for the SS

That's just an inlay. For instance, my SS emblems are black.

shouldn't make a difference. . . i know that you can buy different colored inlays for the SS somewhere on the net, but i don't think they made different versions of the ss (like they did with the new camaro)

Ok I didn't know if there was like a Super charged or Better version on the v8 engine in the SS for 2006 / 2007. Speaking of the engine, can someone please describe to me the gas mileage you get on average? I hear that the engine has some special features to shut down some cylinders to conserve gas. I believe the technology is called Displacement on Demand technology? Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

thanks for the quick reply

supercharged for our transmission would pretty much equal instant failure lol. . . as far as displacement on demand (aka= dod or afm), it makes it run 4 cylinders when cruising and not using much power, and turns on all 8 when ya hammer down or start off at a stop light. word of warning tho, eventually you'll start using oil because of dod
