2 ways of doing it. The first is to get a $70 to $100 OBD2 Scanner and clear it every time it comes up - for me it was about once every 2 weeks.

The other is to get/use a programmer to disable the code.

Thanks for the info. I did a little more reading on the emulator and did notice that it wasn't compatible with the 05. As for the programmer I will need to find someone local with a programmer. Biggriggs knows someone not too far from where I live with a Grand Prix that might be able to help me.

I could do the programming part, but I don't have your year opened up and it's a $100 to do that. It's also quite a drive to mid Wisconsin.

Thanks. If I can't find anyone in my area with the tuner I guess I won't be able to do this mod. I saw the Random Technology 3" downpipe with high flow cat on 3800 performance but it's twice the money . But it does claim that it won't throw a code. I probably will just get the U-bend delete and Dynomax cat back.

The U-Bend delete and Dynomax will sound and perform well. You won't get any performance bonus from the Dynomax but as you know they sound good.

As for the Random Tech pipe they are full of it. That sucker throws codes left and right. I was clearing the P420 code about once every 2 weeks.

I wonder if the SLP catback would add any performance. It's $100 more than the Dynomax but it's stainless steel.

Will the 2.5" downpipe with cat work on 3.4l?

You could email zzp, but I doubt it that the connection at the manifolds is the same.
You can definitely do the u-bend delete. For the 3.4L though, you won't see nearly as much of a gain as you will with the 3.8L.
