Default 03 Monte Need Help

ok my problem is that it is not accelerating like it should, it takes for ever to get up to speed. when i go to pass someone it will downshift but then the rpms will just slowly go up, there is no codes showing and idk what to do to figure this out. it seams like that it is getting worse the more that i drive it too. only thing that i can think is that has to be a sensor somewhere but not sure what one either the tps sensor or maf sensor? if someone knows what i am talking about please help me out here. thanks

Kevin

If you need to replace your cat, I would use that as an excuse to do the exhaust system upgrade that is popular on the 6th gen Montes. High flow cat, downpipe replacement, U-bend delete, and cat-back exhaust system of your choice.

But if your cat converter is plugged, something usually happened to cause it in the first place. Make sure that issue is fixed first. Or you'll be ruining your new cat too.

it only has 88k on it and when i had my 02 monte ss 2 days after i bought the thing the cat went bad so i got it fixed under warranty but when that happened i could not get the car to go any faster than 40 miles per hour. could it be the cat again in this car??? they do have 100,000 mile warranty on the cats so i would just do that. this is just my daily driver and i don't need to have another modded car lol i have my Grand Prix GTP lol.

No remove the 02 sensor above the cat.(In the exhaust manifold) If your cat is clogged it will run like it should with the sensor out just alot noisier. Just went through the exact same problem on my 03. My solution was to gut it but now inspection is coming up so I need to install a new one.
