Another traction control ABS prob

Another traction control ABS prob
ok, here is my situation.
Past: earlier in the year the warning light was on all the time.
Now: New battery, Traction Control light will come on once I exceed 5MPH, now with snow, half the time, I can hit the gas heavy where the speedo reads 25-40MPH still on once I let off the gas and drive normal then my Traction Control/ABS will then be disabled.
I have asked 2 shops and they are leaning towards, without testing, that it is the speed sensor which is far cheaper than the wheel bearing.
What is your take on it? Also is there a brand to stay away from or one I should get?

If the light is coming on at 5mph, then I would say it is a wheel speed sensor. If they get dirty it interrupts the signal and sets the light. If the sensors are free of grime, then check the wiring to each sensor. If they wiring is fine, then I would look to replace the sensor that is defective.

03JGMonte I will get the car on level ground to double check that brake fluid, it did not look low, but I will double check it.
seawolf18 profile pic thats classic. I will clean them out first and if I am still having that problem I will go and get tested and replace. Once it is gets above Freezin my b@!!$ off.
Is there a brand I should or should not buy???

All of the above. Clean & check the connections BEFORE you do ANYTHING else other than checking the fluid level. It's entirely possible that the ABS control has a bad connection.
I wasn't aware you could replace the speed sensor by itself. I thought it was an integral part of the hub, as is the bearings.

RocknSS04 here is the link below. Looks like, to me, that it can be swapped right out. Tomorrow i start school and have access to AllDataPro.com and I will look up more details on there. I will post once I have found more info. possible the entire process.
