Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This Monte is an original California car. I found the original built to order slip in the glove box with first owners name and address in Cali. It then went from Cali to Arizona, where it got shot in the left front fender for some unknown reason lol. From there my aunt bought it in 2011. It was originally going to be my younger cousins stem project for tech school, but it ended up getting pushed aside so he could fix is daily driver. After sitting for a year a few feet from the woods, I decided to take over on it and bought it from my Aunt for what she paid for it $500. It did not want to start and it was sitting on cinder blocks, so i aired up the tires bolted them back on and threw a new batter in it but still not life. I towed it to my work and we stuck a blowgun down in the gas tank with a rag around it and I blew air into the tank while someone else turned it over. Low and behold she came to life after just a few tries. I put new gas in it and drove it as is for a few weeks before deciding to pull the old, tired 305 out to swap for a 350 bored .40 over (357). I am in the middle of getting what few parts I need to finish the swap, I still need headers and exhaust, new flexplate, because the motor I'm putting in is out of a 76 Chevy Pickup, and i need to remove a lot of the wiring harness because its all chopped and i don't need most of it with this simple motor. I plan on painting it a dark, deep purple and lowering it 2in all around. Cowl hood, and I'm working on getting a black leather interior with red piping. She should be one clean looking Monte by the time I'm finished with her, that is if I can ever get the ball rolling lol.

305 removed, swapping to a 357 SBC
