Default Wheel question

So when I get my tax return back I plan on getting some new rims and tires since the tires I have are crap and the rims I have were not taken care of, they are starting to crack and I think because of that I may have a rim leak on a couple of the wheels. The dimensions of the rims I am looking at are 18"x7.5", the bolt pattern is 5x115, and the center bore is 73.0. That should fit alright on the 2006 Monte Carlo SS shouldn't it? and also I know the OEM rim size calls for a 235/50r18 tire. What tire size would you guys recommend for a rim the size of the one I am looking at if it were to fit on the car that is. Thanks for the help everyone

They will fit just fine if they have the 5x11 bolt pattern. The tires on the other hand you should not run 50's. You should go with 40's or 45's I believe. You can go through the thread and find something on the types of rim sizes and what are the best tire sizes.

Thanks, I appreciate it man. Only thing I was really worried about was that the center bore was different between the ones I am looking at and the OEM rims. The OEM center bore is 70.3 and the ones I am looking at are 73. That won't mess anything up will it?

Do you think a tire that is 245/45r18 will fit pretty good on the rim size I am looking at?

Shop on tire rack and use their recommendations for basis.

245/45/18 should work

The factory 18's on the SS are 18x7.5 with a 5x115 bolt pattern so the wheels your looking at should fit fine.

^^ This ^^

That way you can make sure the offset of the wheel is also compatible in addition to it being 18x7.5/5x115.

Alright, I had looked up on one site and had seen the factory wheels were 18x7. Are they really 18x7.5? That makes things easier lol

Sorry I meant to say 5x115. Lol. I don't know about the bore, if the offset is good, then I see no worries.
