What fits?

What fits?
Has anyone found out if smaller rims fit the 06-07 montes? On tire rack they'll only sell 16's and up , I called and they said it would interfere with brake components, etc?
I really want to get some 15's to help lower my gear ratio, but if that's all that fits, then I guess i'm stuck with 16's.
It's just it's a lot harder to find stocker 16's that will fit on these cars in a junkyard.. why pay tire rack 50$ when you can find em at most junkyards for like 20$ each....
Oh, and anyone looked at the performance tires? CRAP they're ridiculously priced!

RE: What fits?
You should have the 12" brake rotors on the front, and 15"s wont fit with those rotors. Go to a shorter tire. Tire rack lists all the sizes offered for a particular tire. See what else will fit.
Why do you want to change your gear ratio? Smaller tires will probably cost you in mpg's.Higher rpm's.

RE: What fits?
The 17's that are on the car already have ridiculously low profile tires... not much room to go down.. but if I got 16's I could get a better gear ratio.
If you saw my thread in street & strip u'd understand... I'm thinking a smaller wheel/tire diameter will lower the gear ratio.... meaning the car should accelerate quicker... and improve the stock time of 15.7 secs
