Default Vredestein Quatrac 2 Tires

I put these on my 2006 Monte Carlo LT and so far they are an excellent tire..

Hopefully they are great in the winter like advertized...

Has anyone heard of Vredestein?

Jeff

Really! I used to have Vredestein bicycle tires on my racing bike. I loved them. I didn't know they made auto tires too.

Yep, they make them for autos.

Here is where I purchased my tires and had them installed.

I wish I would have known about them before I bought the Fuzion's I'm running. They SUCK!!! Good handling, but sound like mudgrips running down the road. So loud it's very annoying, and completely nerve-racking on long trips. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Yeah

Very friendly and helpfull staff at Waukegan Tire..

I just had one issue with them.. When changing my oil they check all the fluids. (That is a good thing) I don't think many places actually do this.. I mark my oil filter and I have had many other places not change it..

They forgot to tighten my Radiator cap so I had coolant and steam spraying out. Luckily I worklike 2 minutes from them so I wouldn't have gone too far.. They handled it professionally. They admitted that they didn't tighten the cap. Many places would just played the finger pointing game.

I have to respect the tech for taking it like a man..

Mistakes happen... When they are willing to fix their mistake then I am ok.

Waukegan tire also found the clunk in my front end that the dealership could not find. Negative Side to that is Waukegan tire can't handle GM warranty.. At least they replaced the faulty tie rod that was clunking like mad..

I gotta say that the Vredestein Quatrac II's did really good in this snowfall.. Now they came out with the III so I am almost wishing I waiting a little longer before new tires.. Maybe next time..

These tires were awesome for this last Storm in the Chicago area!!

I am so glad Jerry @ Waukegan tire recommended them..

I guess my only concern would be tire wear... I don't want to buy tires every year... I put on 30k miles a year..

Nothing wears like a Michelin.

Jeff.

Jeff, are you saying Michelin's wear out quickly, or they are very good for tire wear?
I'm considering buying a set of Michelin Primacy's in the spring. The factory Eagle RS-A's suck.

For Wear, I have head great luck with Michelin when it comes to wear...

Those RSA are crap...

The Vredisteins were awesome in the snow today.. SE Wisconsin to Chicago Area and Back... Terrible roads.. Not bad...

The wear rate of the Vredesteins just scare me.
