Honestly a 1-2" drop isn't enough to warrant the use of camber bolts and shorter dogbones. The drop on my 03 SS was 1.3" (front) and 1.0" (rear) with Eibach's Pro-Kit, while the drop on my 06 SS is 1.8" (front) and 1.5" (rear) with Canucks.

 

The retainers just need to go on the front, not the rear. The rear is a solid upper mount, the front is floating which is what the new retainers change.

You'll enjoy the Vogtlands if you're not looking for a big drop in ride height. The ride quality is very good on them!

06mistreSS, give the retainers a try. They change the floating design to a solid, so the strut now reacts and dampens any spring movement, and gives the strut immediate response to cornering and body roll etc. Even with factory struts and springs, they make a nice little difference.

Note the gap underneath the factory retainer and then the modified retainer:

Let me rephrase that. I don't drive the car hard regularly. I have fun with it occasionally, yes. All street though; I'm by no means running road course races with fast, hard cornering.

 

Finally found some time today to pick up my Vogtland springs...... Going to try and have them installed this or next week... How long does it usually take for the ride height to settle?... Thanks...

 

Sweet! As far as settling, there will be some but the amount really depends on the springs and the specific setup. They will all have some amount of settling; I can say I didn't really notice much with mine. A few weeks of normal driving should be good.

 

The Vogtlands are pretty much the best springs for these cars.

Since the drop is minimal, many run them on stock struts with good results. You made want to put the anti-pogo's on the front however they're not needed. Same with shorter dogbones, you're simply not lowering enough for it to matter at this point.
