they're from a 5th gen, just like the older impalas and just like the LS model 6th gens, just fatter..

 

I just passed an early 2000s impala with those rims on it

 

they are from a 1998-1999 monte carlo z34 or lumina ltz...i have a set on my 03 monte carlo ls right now....

 

not the greatest pic, but you can tell they're similar but thicker than the 6th gen version that went on Montes and Impalas

 

my buddy took those same rims off of his S10 pretty positive he is telling you the truth......look up the serial number on the web oron chevy web site

 

If they were on his s10 then he was really doing something wrong.

Consider this:


The image on the left looks like those wheels in profile - a high positive offset. RWD cars are supposed to be like the image on the right. He could have put in longer wheel studs and a ridiculous amount of spacers. But otherwise they would not balance well on the truck and would probably mount 6" below flush with the side of the truck, giving it a very narrow footprint. The hubs are are mounted further inwrd on the vehicle.
I had to consider this well I got my wheels. It would have been great (and cheap) to just get black steel race wheels, but they did not have the high positive offset required for a FWD.
Unless those wheel have the lugs mounting 4" under the center cap, they should have never been on an s10 and are definately not OE

 

that isnt necessarily true. a rwd car can have all types of deep backspacing, and offsets. the ls1 camaros had a ton of backspacing from the factory. i dont think with the pictures shown anyone can really make a call as to what wheel it is. i do agree though. if its a factory wheel there should be a part number. aside from that you could always ask for all the measurements to be sure. personally if someone told me the wheels were off of a s10, and that wasnt what i was looking for i wouldnt even waste my time with them. im not 100% sure, but to my knowledge the s10s run the standard gm bolt pattern. 5X4.75 which isnt the wbody bolt pattern. i also do recall seeing s10s or sonomas with those wheels.

 

the S10 definetly had those rimes on it cause i was goiing to buy the and put them on my 94 camaro but didnt and the reason i was going to buy them is because they had the red chevy bowtie and under where the licience plate goes on the camaro was a red bowtie.....i think he had a flairside s10 but cant remember it was over 12 years ago i think the s10 was a 2000

 

I give up. Those are s10 wheels. What would I know having spent the last 10 years selling wheels...
