Default Are SS springs lower than LS springs?

Do the LS and SS use the same springs or are the SS springs lower than the LS?

not to sure on this but i would think they have to be close to the same thing, they dont remake the body for a diffrent model

but the susp. parts would be diffret for the "sprot susp"

the way to find this out would be to start looking in to what you would have to get if it was a SS to rebuld the susp. then what you would need for your car. and cross them

I don't need to know if they're close to the same thing, that's a given, but if the SS springs lower the car an inch, then I'd want em. That way I could keep the factory ride quality. I know how to find out, but that takes a bit more work than getting a yes or no answer from somebody who knows.

close tot eh same thing and the same thing . well the same ting would give you what you have now, so if they are a diffrent spring height with the weight of the car on them then yes they would be close as the diamitor etc... would all be the same.

but chaning your springs could change more then your ride height . you would need to know that before you do it . Or it could mees up the tirangels unde the car. if this happens the car wont track right, or would not sit right,or could also mess other things up int eh front end.

there is alot more to it then just swapping sprins if the susp. is that diffrent, Im not syaing this ould not be the nly thing you would have to do If that is the case you can also go to PFYC and get the lowerd springs for the SS and it drops the car 1" all the way around.

Im just saying check it all out , I would hate to see your car get screwed up.

so to make a long story short, you don't know if the SS springs are any different

Thanks for the lesson on suspension geometry, but you're about 10 years too late. the "tirangels" you are referring to is called camber and it's not likely to be effected with a mild drop of an inch or so, at least not to the point of it becoming in issue. But either way, I don't know how you do it, but whenever I lower a car, the next stop is to get an alignment. Problem solved.

I find it highly unlikely that the suspension between a LS and SS is different, unless they put lower springs on the SS for a more sporty appearance/lower center of gravity for increased handling, and this is my question.

the only answer I was looking for is if the springs are different, which you could not answer so I don't even know why you posted.

wow, that only took 4 posts!

Now comes the fun part of finding out the specs on said springs, what the difference is as far as height and spring rate. Maybe I'll call the dealer tomorrow.

I honestly didn't think there was a difference, and I am still skeptical, because this is what I found.
Straight from the Manufacturers specs.
Rear LS:61.4 SS:61.4
Ground Clearance (in) LS:5.9 SS:5.9
Hope that helps, wouldnt want you to waste money on some SS springs only to find out they are the same.
