Here is the link and they are real close to the proper backspacing only a quarter of an inch off. Should still fit.

Even tho they are 20x9 they have a 5.25 inch backspace our cars usually use a 5.5-6 I think they would fit. The .25 less means it sticks out from the mounting point more so it should give extra clearance. It actually should have more clearance then our stock rims. The only thing is you need a tire size to match the current diamter of the tire. I know a 235/50/18 is the exact same width and .1 inches taller then a 235/55/17. If you find the tire to match the stock specs on hieght even tho it is wider the extra clearance should make the 20x9 fit.

235/50/18 is the stock size for the 06/07 Monte Carlo SS. However, put that tire on a 6th Gen and put some weight in the trunk and the tires rub the strut.

This is true, but you also need to consider other factors to determine if the wheel will fit or not. If a stock wheel (6.5" width) has a backspace of 5.5" that means that 1" of the wheel protrudes outward from the hub. If that 20X9" wheel has a backspace of 5.25" that means 3.75" protrudes outward from the hub. That's a difference of 2.75". I don't think you'd get away with that wide of a wheel without it sticking out so far that it throws road debris all over the sides of the car. It would also impact the steering/handling of the vehicle.

Id say we got an extra 2 inches of wheel well we can fill from mounting point befor it became an issue. And by stock I meant the 17s not 16s. so the rim is wider with a diffrent backspace. it would only push it out about 2-2.5 inches.

And Mike wont those fit if you fab up a 1/4-1/2 inch spacer of some sort? The offset on that is only a 1/4" off what fits.

The width and backspacing of the 16" and 17" stock wheels (the diamond cut ones) is identical. Also keep in mind that the wheel wells are tapered with a bulge at the top. You might be able to fit the wheel/tire inside the top of it, but it may stick out past the lower portion of it. I would check and double check all measurements before dropping any coin for those wheels. My wheel/tire combo sits just inside the lower portion of the wheel well by a hair, and there is only a couple of mm difference between the backspace of them and the stock diamond cut wheels that were on the car.

Using a spacer effectively creates more offset so add that 1/2" when determining if the wheel will fit under the wheel well or not.
