I've got the KVR (I think that's the brand name) cross drilled rotors with carbon fiber pads and stainless brake lines. I love them. I think I'd try the slotted rotors if I bought some more, but I'm happy with whatI have. I have heard the cross drilled will crack if they get too hot, butI haven't had a problem. The best thing is the stainless steel brake lines. They completely eliminated any spongy pedal feel. Nothing but good solid brake pedal. And the carbon fiber pads don't generate hardly any brake dust. I'm going with ceramic pads next time just to see how they do. Overall, the whole system is a tremendous improvement over stock. The car stops like you threw an anchor out.

i always run raybestos ceramic pads and raybestos premium (or slotted raybestos) rotors, gm rotors are nothing special, maybe worth 30-40 bucks a piece @ most, but if you already have them put them on, i wouldn't worry about the slotted rotors unless your really wanting to spend that money

The Powerslots seem to be the big ticket item in the W-Body world. They are a very good and worthwhile upgrade. Much more stopping power than the stock rotors.

the only downside of them, is if your in an area where they use salt they rust a lot quicker then they wear

I never heard of this? Where does the problem occur? I thought this was the same material they make the stock rotors from.

It doesn't matter for me since I park the car in winter in favor of the Blazer but it will still be nice to know.

I can't see $500 but depending on he dealership it is quite possible.

I could see regular/honest dealership prices bringing all 4 to $300 though.

When I bought my KVR's They gave an option of geting them coated. Magnesium, maybe? I got this option and after 2 years no rust. Of course I live in the south so no salt isues.I do think the extra cost was worth it. IfI remember correctly, the crossdrilled rotors, carbon fiber pads and stainless lines were around $800.

well here is what the prices should be @ most, and keep in mind that they will be cheaper in the states because parts are cheaper down there

FRONT PADS PGD 699C $62.29 (SET)
REAR PADS PGD 698C $58.51 (SET)
FRONT ROTORS 56641 $29.36 EA
REAR ROTORS 56629 $19.29 EA

GRAND TOTAL $218.10 +TAX FOR EVERYTHING

those are raybestos ceramic pads with lifetime warranty and raybestos mid-grade rotors (premium are overkill for the average driver) hopefully this will keep people from spending too much money, and keep in mind these are cdn prices
