Default Rear Suspension help for 6th generation

I have 18inch ss wheels from a 06 mc on my 00 mc. the front is ok but the back strut plate is really close to my tires. I am getting read to complete m sound system and put some subs, batteries, amps, etc in the trunk and I kniw its gonna weight down in the back. what can I do? I recently did my suspension over and already replaced all springs and struts. any help would be appreciated

You should be fine with the 245/45, but I suppose you can try a spacer if you need to get the rubber away from the plate a little bit.

should I put the spacers right above the strut plate. looking at the springs the space between the springs is smaller toward the strut plate

It would be a wheel spacer, to move the wheel outward a little away from the plate

Personally I would just have someone hop in the trunk, or get a few people to sit in the back seat and take a look again, it might not be that bad

If you can locate someone with a 06/07 ss you could see of the mounting locations top and botom are the same then pick some up from a junkyard or online then you will know they will clear,

Other option is taking your fave bfh to it, may not be a permanent fix, I stuck the girlfriends 08 impala's 18's on my 01 had to use the bfh to clear, had it loaded down for a car show with a canopy, cooler, 2 ten in subs, 4 chairs me, the girlfriend, my son and a buddy and didn't get any rub
