Default Rear disc swap on a 5g?

Is it possible? If so how would I go about it and roughly how much would it cost?

Do you mean on a 5th gen? The Z34 montes have rear discs. All you need to do is find one in a JY and highjack the parts.

The cost depends on how cheap your local junkyard is. I would imagine $500 would be all I would give- these parts get thrown out and crushed every day- they're not highly sought after items.

I got knuckles, calipers, rotors, padsand all the hardware for $100 shipped off the forums. Then I paid $100 for some SS brake lines (I did all 4 corners, so it would've only been $50 for the rears)- plus $50 for new pads, and $125 for new rotors (I could've reused the pads/rotors, but I wanted to upgrade while it was apart). I also did KYB GR2 struts, coilovers, and all the BMR arms at the same time- but that was just because I wanted to, and wasn't related to the swap.

Sorry to hijack the thread but what do you think about the GR2s on your monte? How do they feel?

Its too hard to tell- I did too many other suspension mods at the same time. Trying to concentrate on just them, and the effects struts would have- I would say they feel very similar to new-stock struts. If they are more aggressive, then it is only a very small amount more.

I have an eye on a set of disc brakes on a Z-34 so all i would need is the entire assembly
