Painted my Tire Letter's Yellow
#25
Yeah Mike! I agree with everyone else, those yellow letters do look right on your monte... With my tires, im trying to figure out what color should I go with (yellow, white or red) since my monte is FIRE RED.

No problem I just repainted them again the other day.. they last about three months before I have to redo them..

Lookin good Yellow letters
The Nascar Goodyear tires & Hoosier Tires were once white lettered, the reason that I was told they went from White to Yellow, is when they are photographed at speed you can read the lettering.
Drive thru town in the evening and pick a street with a lot of windows on the store fronts and see if you can read the letters between the stop lights.
Na, that won't work but if you get some one to take a Photo you will know for sure.
Looks Great

Looks good
Thanks for sharing your method JerryZ. I got this set of used tires on some rims from a 2002 Dale Earnhardt Edition. They're in good shape - still got some whiskers on them. I washed them up and used the posca pen you suggested. I think they turned out real nice. Hopefully I can put them on this weekend.
By the way, I was wondering what you did to your rims JerryZ. The ones I got with these tires have some clear coat coming off. I was thinking of restoring them over the winter next year. I read some other threads in the forum suggesting airplane stripper, or lots of sandpaper. Just curious if you did something to get your rims so nice.
