Thanks everyone. I'll definitely post some pics once they get here and they're on the Monte.

I wanted to keep as much sidewall as possible to help preserve ride comfort and the 17" kept me within the budget I wanted to spend on wheels/tires. Besides, I just don't like the look of a huge rim and skinny tire. It's fine if that's what you like, but it's just not me.

When I first placed my order the wheels were listed at $185 each, but jumped to $225 each in the cart. Evidently the prices on the web site had not been updated. Most places were charging that or more for them, so I suppose that could have been the case. I did find a site though that has them listed for $199 each, but they didn't carry the brand of tires I was interested in. After a couple of emails back and forth the price of the wheels ended up at $199.75 each. They have one set of 17" left and those are also selling for that price. I thought I was going to have to purchase lug nuts, but found out last night they come with the wheels. So wheels/tires (mounted and balanced) and lug nuts delivered to my door cost me $1342...and $120 of that is shippng. I got them from discounttires.com

price doesn't sound bad at all . . . good work on finding em cheaper. I wonder how many people click to add them to the cart and don't realize that the website changed the price on them. makes you wonder if it's an "honest" mistake. . . . .

Since the price on the web site has been adjusted to the lower price I'd have to say it was an honest mistake. They show $211 each on the site but when you put them in the cart they drop to $200.40 and then an additional discount (with a code you can get by calling them) brings them down to $199.75 each. Not too bad considering the best price I could find on the AR Maverick was $200 each.

Can't blame you for the 17s. Keeps the rubber options higher and the prices lower.

Just checked my email and I got shipping confirmation for the wheels and tires. They should be here this coming Wednesday the 28th. I've got a feeling it's going to be a l-o-n-g weekend and first part of next week...
