I think it has to do with how you wash your car also. Some people tend to drive to the car wash after their rotors and nice and hot and just drive right in. Or the flip side they wash their car at home and then don't drive it to dry the break parts out and just park it in the garage.

www.placeforbrakes.com has some of the best deals on rotors, for good quality rotors, not cheap Chinese rotors.

IDK anything about those rotors, but I know they will look really good. Im really liking the way there is two rows of drills inbetween the slots. It does look like there is a down side to them though, it looks like on the slots, they are not "rounded off" it looks like a 90*cut corner. Which I think might lessen the life of hte pads. But thats with any D/S rotors though.

If you only have $300 to spend for rotors and pads, then I honestly would buy yourself the premium quality (they have basic and premium) OEM style rotors from Autozone, and get yourself some ceramic pads.

thanks Michael, how much would I be looking to spend for a good quality set of brakes and rotors? I don't put a ton of miles on my car so they would most likely last a pretty long time.

Well the ones from Autozone that I mentioned would be a great set up. Their premium OEM rotors, and Duralast ceramic pads are good quality for an OEM set up. Probably would cost you around $200 for fronts only, and $350 for all 4 (these are for parts only).

Now if you wanted to go with like EBC slotted rotors, and good ceramic pads for all 4 wheels you would be look around $500 for parts.

Actually wondering about the dimpled and slotted. Drilling all the way through the rotor kind of worries me, would seemingly give you numerous weak spots.

You know, it goes both ways LOL) You can get the hair line cracks people talk about or you can have brakes that you drive on almost 120K miles with them still like new (like I have). Now, I drive VERY hard most of the time and I have had ZERO problems with my rotors and Im still on the pads it came with, i also have rotors that are drilled all the way through, so I have no idea what causes these differences in expieriences with brakes. Maybe its just luck? But if you're wanting to just get dimples rotors because you're a little worried, go for it, better safe than sorry right? Better knowing your money isnt going to be wasted, then hoping to get lucky. I dont know what the difference is between drilled and slotted anyway (I know that its drilled through or not) but I dont belive there could be a noticable difference in the performance of the brakes. In fact, if there is any difference, I have to belive dimpled would be better cause it could kinda scoop and catch the air instead of letting it pass through freely. AANNNNYWAYYYYY... GOOD LUCK
