Default new pics of my 18" Eagles on my Intimidator

What do ya all think of my 18's? Wanted 20's, but had to be realistic, I drive mega miles, and didn't think the 20's would hold up, besides, tires is my #1 expense. These are Eagle Alloy 077's, 18x8, with BFG G-Force TA KDWS 235/50R18 tires. Tires were affordable at $100/tire. I think my next tires will be Goodyear Triple Treds. One pic shows my blackened "stealthed" Intimidator logo, also.

I was looking at a set that was 8.5 inches wide, but am afraid of rubbing on the wells. Do yours rub?

They look GREAT, btw. What kind of tire shine do you use?

I think it looks sweet! I have been having a hard time trying to figure out if I should go with 20's or 18's. I like 20's cause I love how they fill up the wheel wells without making the car look like a big rollerskate. But tires cost alot, the 20's themselves are pretty expensive, plus I have some Gen2 SCC springs I want to use but have figured that if I go with 20's then I'll likely rub, but I'll have dubs!! As for the 18's, the rims and tires and quite a bit cheaper, I should be able to lower it with my springs without a problem given I get the right size tires, but they don't fill up the wells as much as the 20's.

But this pic of your car now has me swayed to get the 18's, I think the 50 series tires helped too because most of the Monte's i've seen with 18's have had 45 series rubber or lower which makes the wheels look smaller. I guess it depends on what style rims you get too.

This is my deal, whatever rims I get I want to paint them white, leaving a chrome lip. This is the look i'm going for:

I haven't yet seen a Monte sportin' white on white, that's where I come in!!

That's where more problems come in, I think 18's would look too small painted white like that and that's when I start thinking I should get 20's. So you see, it's just a viscious circle

I've had no tire rubbing or any other issues, other than the stick on wheel weight coming off. The tread width is 3" wider than factory, and I like that. It handles way better. I wanted something closer to the 5 spoke Corvette wheels, in chrome. These are close. 20" wheels are too much bling for me on a daily driver, but I think they look great, myself, and would have prefered them. Just not practical. I drive 100+mi a day, 6 days a week usually, and tires are a huge cost of commuting for me.
As for the tire shine, I have Sturgis Auto Bath hand wash my car every Friday afternoon. The pickup and deliver it looking good for $15, and it's ready for the wife and I to go out Friday night! The tire shine is a commercial detailing product.
As for bling, I had several cops fly up on my tail just checking me out, until I had the Intimidator logos blacjened. None since. The only way you can tell it's an Intimidator from a distance is a keen eye. The red "SS" emblem is on the right side of the trunk lid, instead of the left.
Large chrome wheels are noticeable going down the road, and these are not. I like the "stealth" look.

"other than the stick on wheel weight coming off"

I dont think I understand what you stated above... I'm dense sometimes.

As far as the Stealth Logos, I was thinking about it, but I don't wanna be a copy cat

The tires look great, I'm not gonna lie. And I guess I need to find someone who can detail my car for me... sounds like a plan

And I would assume that the handling is better. I plan on upgrading next spring, much like yourself. I dont wanna go too big, but whew, urs look just the perfect size.

the stick-on weight is what they use to balance the wheels once the tire is installed. It's held on with an adhesive and placed on the inner part of the rim instead of using those ugly clip on weights that they have to install on the outer part of the rim and pound on with a hammer.
