Default New (BUT DIRTY) rims! HELP!

Hey guys, I recently bought a set of used 17' -5 spole rims off of an 03 impala from a local dealer. The problem is that the man didnt bother to clean them. The wheels are dirty with alot of dust and gunk on the insides of them. He sugested me drenching them with WHEEL ACID (I felt something wasfishy about that). Dont these rims have some kind of clearcaoat that can get damaged? What are the best products and best way to clean/ wash these wheels back to new conditions?? Thanx

Mr Clean Magic Eraser cleaned the rims on my bro's 95 Z28 very nicely. I have one I'm waiting to use on mine.

On pic 1 there is no cleaner that will get rid of the white spot on the right side of the wheel, it will spread because the clear is cut.

those look like aluminum to me. get some mag and aluminum polish. it isnt going to be perfect the first time. its going to take 2 or 3 times to get them decently good looking

They are aluminum machined & clear coated wheels but there is no way to get rid of the whitening with out getting the clear blasted (glass bead) off.
