Not sure if this is the right place to put this question or not. If not I probably overlooked the area.

I have a 2005 monte carlo LS. I have recently had the rear rotors and pads changed. I have noticed that my emergency brake does not hold the car anymore when parked on a hill. I hate having to use the transmission park when on a hill due to possible lockup. Did having the rotors changed and pads might have had something to do with the parking brake not working anymore?

Do you have a Haynes manual?

Mine isn't with me, but they explain how to adjust the parking brake cable

 

they probably didnt reconnect the cable, my mechanic forgot that once and had the exact same problem. check the right rear wheel.
