IMHO, this is a GREAT thread! There are SO many varying opinions on Montes, and how they should or should NOT look. Thing is, it's your car, and your money.
Personally, I like the 20 - 22" range MAX, and I do NOT like them lifted, but then again, that's my opinion.
Again, GREAT thread!

Just cause it's tucking doesn't mean it can't turn my boy is tucking 24's on a galaxie and he can turn with it slammed with no problem
Okay, I'll admit that my question really is coming out of ignorance, and I'm also sorry if you've already answered the question that I'm about to ask (I didn't want to go through all 74 pages of this thread) but what is the appeal of having gigantic rims on cars? I mean, with the exception of a few 20" rims, to me they all look goofy and gaudy (please don't take offense, it's just my first reaction to them). So, how would you explain that these very large rims are a cool and good thing to a guy who has performance and practicallity in mind and doesn't really like anything over 18" rims on our cars? I mean, I can't imagine that the ride quality would be good at all, acceleration would be horrible, and fuel economy would suffer (especially on 22"+ rims). It might help me respect these rides more if you could explain it to me.
