IMHO, this is a GREAT thread! There are SO many varying opinions on Montes, and how they should or should NOT look. Thing is, it's your car, and your money.
Personally, I like the 20 - 22" range MAX, and I do NOT like them lifted, but then again, that's my opinion.
Again, GREAT thread!

Okay, I'll admit that my question really is coming out of ignorance, and I'm also sorry if you've already answered the question that I'm about to ask (I didn't want to go through all 74 pages of this thread) but what is the appeal of having gigantic rims on cars? I mean, with the exception of a few 20" rims, to me they all look goofy and gaudy (please don't take offense, it's just my first reaction to them). So, how would you explain that these very large rims are a cool and good thing to a guy who has performance and practicallity in mind and doesn't really like anything over 18" rims on our cars? I mean, I can't imagine that the ride quality would be good at all, acceleration would be horrible, and fuel economy would suffer (especially on 22"+ rims). It might help me respect these rides more if you could explain it to me.

Your gonna have to go through the 74 pages cause I explained it once before on one of them and i'm not going to again.Just like some people want performance and don't care about have rims bigger than 18's samething goes the other way some people want the biggest rims they can get on there cause they want to be seen not heard. You know how many times people came pulling up to me look at my car and then spend off alot. Why because that's all they could do to get someone to look at them there wasn't anything special about there car but they wanted to take the attention off me.I'm addicted to stuntin I like to be seen that's why I do it.I don't care about mpg or fuel economy because I have more than one car it wasn't something I would drive all the time I would alternate. And if you do your ride right then you won't have anything to worry about and if you do it wrong then that's what you get for cutting corners. My MC rode just as good as it did before I put the rims on and I was still moving on the expressway without a problem I would take the fast lane home most of the time make people move out my way.I like all my cars and I built it to drive it and that's what I do until the wheels fall off.So you like performance and speed I like stuntin you like what you like and me anyone else on this thread with big rims like stuntin simple as that.

I think that's a fair answer. I was just curious if there was something that I was over looking. Thank you for your thoughtful reply.
