Default Covette brakes

Ok so I saw a thread a long time ago about using corvette calipers on our montes with the stock 16 inch rims. What I want to know is has anyone actually done this? I'm just asking because I dont want to do it if it wont work. lol

I have 02 Camaro brakes on mine & they cleared the 16s id suggest the camaro over the vette breaks there pretty much the same except a few fins & the corvette stamped on em, & camaro ones are cheaper & u need the brackets so just better deal, no sense in paying more fore some letters, ill get some pics posted up for ya soon

nice those look very nice. That is the cheaper route to go But I still think I'll just get the Vette ones in red. I love the idea of seeing Vette calipers through the wheels

With the vette ones i think u have to grind down the fins to clear, & youll need camaro brackets & i dont think so only rear option is a gxp rears

Damn. I guess I'll have to go with the camero ones cause I dont want to start grinding on vette calipers after I pay that kind of money. lol

Ok this is the write up I found. And those calipers have next to no fins. The camero fins are bigger.

Rear fins are fine but the vette has em all the way to the front of the caliper & it rubs 16" rims
