Made that way though, so the car is made for it. And it's a wider rim, not a larger one.

Yes, no way would you want a bigger rim up front, that would just look stupid. And i'm sure the GXP's do have wider rims, but I doubt they are dramatically wider rims. The Corvette's are larger rims from front to back, and the difference in width is pretty large.

I've actually never noticed that the GXP's had a slightly wider rim up front, probably because it is not that much wider. I'll have to pay attention next time I see one.

GXP rims are 18x8 in the front and 18x7 in the back. I believe a lot of people who buy aftermarket rims just run 18x8 all around so they can rotate.

i was thinking going with stock camero 19" rims. like the ones on the ss, i think those might fit pretty well.

I am not sure if they will fit or not...but I would make sure they fit before you buy anything, because I know the older Camaro rims don't fit the Monte.

I have been looking into this for a few months now, I even have a nice shiny new set of chrome c6 rims sitting in my basement. The first problem, as stated above is lug spacing. Our cars have 115mm spacing, and the corvette has 120mm spacing. the second problem is the width of the rim itself. The front rims are 18 x 8.5, you need some kind of spacer to prevent the rim and rubber from hitting your struts, probably about 3/4 of an inch. Rear rims on the corvette are 19 x 11....there's no way you're fitting those on the car unless you tub out the back and do a lot of custom fab work to relocate the struts further back. If you were to do it you would need to put corvette front rims all around, and have a 3/4 or 1" lug adapter. I'm not exactly sure of how large that spacer has to be because I haven't gotten that far yet, I just know the rim will hit before you get to the lugs.

I dont mean to crush anyones dreams, but as far as those Camaro rims go, i believe they still have the 120mm spacing because I remember reading somewhere that ZR-1 rims will fit the new Camaro. I am not 100% on this, but if its your dream, go for it.

Yeah ill never forget that fact about the GXP's... Guy workin next to me learned that lesson the hard way and ordered four tires for it all the same size as the front ones cuz on normal cars you only need to check one tire for the size! Whoops...

and im almost positive they dont come with a spare either just some fix-a flat and a small compressor lol
