Brake calipers back from the powercoating
Got my f-body calipers back from the powercoating company. I went with orange to match the detailing of my Tony Stewart home depot scheme.
very pleased with the results, although I think I should have just done the brackets black.

The whole job was $200.
probably cost me another $100 to redo the brackets black if I decide its too much orange behind the wheel.
Plus I will have to do the GXP rear brakes in the same color scheme, so add another $200 for the rears to match up.

you gonna end up sending about $200 or more for parts. if you decide to take to machine shop and have them drill and tap the brackets that probably cost like $40- $50. piston/dust boots for the calipers from the dealer is like $30. banjo bolts $20 from wbody store i think. the 4 clips for the pads and 2 chatter shims not sure what they cost from the dealer. brake pads you can spend any where from $40 and up depend on which brand you you looking at. brake rotors since you have about 8600 miles on your car i would run what you have now. brake lines, you will need longer line or stock line will work just have to bend the brake line bracket.

The biggest pain is gonna be reseating the pistons and the rubber gaskets, but I've seen the writeups for that procedure, just have to get some picks for it.
I could install now for the fronts, but I'd just have to pull them again for the rotors, and I don't want to do an extra brake fluid flush & bleed for the rears(I am upgrading to DOT4 or 5 when the job is underway).

Installing the seals is no problem. You don't need any tools to do that.
The powder coating looks great! Wish I'd done that to mine. That was the original intent. Just didn't happen (finances got in the way).
