7th Gen ('06-'07): Best lowering springs and shocks and struts?
#11
We already talked a little bit and, like I said, if you have any more questions let me know. I'm running Canuck Motorsports lowering springs paired with Bilstein HD-Series struts on my 06 SS and it's been a great setup; lowered 1.8" front and 1.5" rear. Handling is greatly improved and the ride stiffened but it's not obnoxious. It's too bad Bilstein struts aren't available for these cars anymore because I would recommend them hands down for struts.

I have very low profile tires (235-45-17) and only 17 inch wheels on my Monte so Maybe that has something to do with it. The front has more of a gap than the rear. Although, the pics I posted were only a couple weeks after I installed them so I think they have "settled" now and are slightly lower than those photos show. I just haven't taken any updated photos yet. I have the same springs as 06mistreSS with a ride height drop of 1.7 front and 1.5 in the back. I saw his post a while ago and that's what made me decide to go with Canuck. Shout out to you for that 06mistreSS!

you guys have the recipe im looking for, but i cant make up my mind on wheels. ive got a lot of work to do under the car though.
i really appreciate you guys sharing what works!!!
the only result im looking for is reducing body roll. the rest of the car is flawless.

Don't believe one can find coil overs for our car that are direct bolt on's.
Here is a link from the LS Tech site and how he made coil overs for our cars with Koni and old AGX parts.
I actually still have my old KYB AGX struts if someone would want to buy them to use on a project like this.

Thanks man! These rims are actually the Mustang Bullitt-style designed to fit on an 05 Mustang GT but they bolted directly on to my Monte and I was blown away by how good they looked, especially with the wider tires I got. Good luck in your search man! Can't wait to see what you end up going with.

Also, it's worth mentioning I am running 235/50-R18 (OE tire size) Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the stock wheels.
