what is the best hub bearing assembly for a 2001 Monte?

I would say Timkin if they sell one for the Monte's.

probably stay with standard OEM replacment. try partstrain.com

The two above are what you want to stick with. GM works closely with Timkin.

Timken... Only one made is the USA. Better grade materials used.

Forget these guys, went through 3 hubs on my wife's Buick, same hub used as in the MC. Chinese junk. Finally gave up even though they replaced them for n/c. Bought a Timken and it has been fine since.

I can change a hub in 20 minutes thanks to all the practice.
