I bought a 2006 Monte Carlo last fall and have been very happy with the car![Smile](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The first thing I did this spring was put new wheels on. I still have to paint the calipers, but I am liking the upgrade. Not saying these are great, but for the price I could not pass them up and I never liked the stock wheels anyways.

Thanks for the comments
Kid - I agree the lower the better looking, but I think I need all the clearance I have (don't want to bottom out on speed bumps, ramps, parking blocks, etc)
SPRFRK - I put the wheels up on craigslist for $350 and someone with a 2002 impala picked them up within a few days, probably should have asked for more, but I had them on ebay for $400 and got no bids.
Taz - They are also 18", I think they just look smaller because there is so much less material.

One other question.
I am probably going to get around to painting the calipers, but the rusty part is the first on my agenda. I think if I did enough research I could identify the part, but if some one more knowledgeable could do it off the top of the head I always appreciate the help.
I don't think it is the brake disc itself (at least I hope not), hopefully it is just a cover or something. I have attached a close up of the back wheel.
