Default Anybody ever heard of Riken tires?

And if so, how do they compare to Kumho tires? I am looking at a wheel and tire package on tiresdelivered.com for under $1400, but I have never heard of Riken tires.

What do you think?

i like the wheel, kind of like the one under it too, i've never heard of the tire though, but it could just be a small company located somewhere near where that site is that your getting those rims from, you've probably never heard of hercules tires but they're made here where i live and lot of people have them, and they're fairly decent for a good price...so they could be a good tire

That's what I'm thinking too, but the Rikens are 245's vs. the Kuhmo's 225's!!

I just did some poking around and found this on SummitRacing.com. Looks like they may be a subdivision of BF Goodrich?:

Jason, I believe they are a Michellin off-brand.

I had a friend who owned a tire shop and he always proclaimed the off brands were just as good as the originals because they were made on the same line.

They just change the inserts that designate a tire "brand."

I don't know about those tires, but I know that I found a rim and tire package I like on that site and with the Toyo Proxes 4 tires I chose it only comes to $1262.50 SHIPPED!!!!

Now I just gotta save up a few more dollars and I can get em, the saving part is what kills me, money burns holes in my pockets.
