Default 22s or 20s

I just bought a 2001 MC SS and Iwas looking to either go 20 or 22 with the wheel size but wanted some feedback from some other owners who have already gone through this process. I read on this site that you had to upgrade the brakes and suspsension for 20s, well, what do you upgrade to? what products have you used? If I went 20, do I have room to drop it? with a kit? If I went 22, what needs to be done? Does it need to be lifted any?

you dont really have to upgrade the brakes and chasis you may just want to make sure its all new chasis and steering parts(moog) if your doing 20's or 22's so you dont have the problem with the wheel snaping...brakes the only upgrade would be to do premium rotors with fully ceramic pads...no brake dust and they last quiete a while

personally i would do 20's ...22's just dont sit right on the car...i dont think so anyway.. but 20's look pretty good

20's will be fine, but your handling will go drop off considerably. "All show no go" around corners, takeoff, and braking. The additional weight of the rims and accompanying centrifugal force cause this.

I think dubs are the perfect size rims for the Monte, you can drop it a little bit too if you choose, but I'd only go an inch at most or you're gonna rub like crazy.

i would not go with 22's i have 20's on mine and they are perfect no rub, yeah it does not pick up as fast but i could care less also it rides a little ruff but nothing to bad. also i did not notice any loss in turning performance.

P.S. go with black with crome lip

do they make the dirty dogs in dubs? Those are my favorite rims but I figured I wasn't gonna be able to get them since I only found them 22" or better. Hook me up with a link!!!

there's the wheel, its available in 20's to fit our monte's...or so the rim guy said i deal with i really like that wheel..i sold a set of those to fit a 2005 magnum in 20" tried to talk him into bigger..but he wouldn't go bigger...he came in looking for 18's then i told him the 20's were the same price and he liked that idea and he's still got plenty of rubber...too much in my opinion
