Ok, I have 22s on my 02 SS. Picks in my Garage. They look so good. That's why I bought the yellow (Competition, Competition Yellow). I was looking for a black SS. Again I say. The car looks good! But with only 1" of sidewall, (245/30r22) there is no flexability in the tire, making it easy to ding or damage the rims. And since the sidewall doesn't flex, you get air leaks with dings. Then there is the extra vibration that tranfers into the suspension, which is already stressed because of the extra weight of the wheels and tires, so that vibration goes into the car. Now you get bolts that loosen in the dash, and electronics that fail. Your experience may be different, but I doubt it. Oh yeah, the colder it gets, the easer it is to crack a rim or 3. I ordered 18s for mine with 245/45r18 all season tires. For the package of 5 rims and tires I spent under. $900. All brand new!
I say keep your 20s. If you get the 22s only use them for Sunday drive to Church. Lol. Big rims are for show, not daily driving. Less you live some place were the roads are Perfectly smooth! IMO

My friend had the comp yellow monte and it was a LT 04' and he had to take a rubber mallet hammer and beat up the strut cup on the front so it can clear the rims...and then for the rear he just threw em on and had no issues. makes sure your shocks are still good, if their not you'll have sag. But i'd do 22's all day every day..if your rolling 20s its a 245/235/255 tire on 30 series...but if your rolling 22s its 235/245/255 and 30 series...not really a difference its still considered low pro. I'd roll 22s all day plus it works more with our boat cars.

What kind of rims are those, I love them!
