19's?
Just wondering if anybody has or had 19's on their monte carlo? Any issues w/ rubbing or bottoming out? I'm currently in the market for some new rims and when i saw a set of 18's on a car i decided i want 19's instead. Any info would be great THANK YOU. 06 MONTE ROLLON'
YOU WILL BE OK WITH 19'S, I GOT 20'S AND I DON'T RUB OR BOTTOM OUT,
I WILL PUT A EIBACH LOWERING KIT WILL BRING ME DOWN BY 1 INCH.
SEE MY WHEELS I JUST WENT TALLER AND NOT WIDER AND MY TIRE IS A LOW PROFILE Z RATED TIRE. THIS ACTUALLY RAISED MY CAR HIGHER AND IF I DROP 1 INCH IT JUST CLOSES THE GAP BETWEEN MYRIM AND WHEEL WELL, THE EIBACH SPRINGS WILL GIVE YOU PERFORMANCE AND BETTER CORNERING, YOU WILL BE FINE WITH 19'S, I GOT FALKEN TIRES AND THEY ARE REALLY GOOD TIRES FOR THE MONEY AND I WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND GOODYEAR TIRES OR TOYO AND FALKEN.

MY WHEELS ARE 20X7.5 AND MY TIRE IS 255/35Z/20

BY THE WAY MY FRIENDS AT WORK HAVE A AWESOME BLUE AND SILVER 2005 MONTE AND THEY GOT 19'S AND PLENTY OF CLEARENCE THERE, GET A LOW PROFILE TIRE AND NOT A TALL TIRE AND IT WILL BE ALL GOOD.
19's? i thought wheel sizes went straight from 18-20? o'well, guess i was wrong.
providing what you want is the look, then by all means, go for it. most people here talk about how going over 18"s tends to kill your handling... it makes the car want to wander more and not handle as well on back raods. however, if you drive normal and never play on a back road... you'll be perfectly find. if you're going to lower the car, you probably won't be able to go over about... ooo... i'll say 17"?

I hope that the newer monte's don't have the same issue with fitment that mine had. I've got 20s with 245 rubber w/ the Eibach lowering kit, and it rubs when i put more than one person in the back seat. I also have about 100lbs of stereo in the trunk as well. I had to put rubber snubbers in the rear to keep the back from sagging too much.
I got 20" put on my 03.....
with a 255/35 tire..... I can do a u turn with no rubbing and also have not had any instance of bottoming out. (knocking on wood.....
)
As for the handling my car actually seems to handle a little better....both backroads and interstate
Its the wider tire/rim i think....
i switched from a 225/60/16 (stock tires/rims)
