Default 17" wheels

if I swap my 16" for the same syle 17" wheels that i have now. will I need a spacer on the back wheels. the 17's have the chrome look that came on 05's and some sc cars.

I think they would look SuperSuper on your Monte
Are they both OEM Rims ?
I `think they should should fit, but I would wait 4 one of

yes they are off an 05 monte. the owner says in his ad that they would not fit on the rear of his 02 monte. he never got around to buying a spacer. I don't think it would need a spacer but I thought I would ask the experts here at the wonderful MCF. I did a search with no results but there was a recent post about 18's on an 03 monte and I don't have the wheels yet so any info would be much appreciated. thanks.

gotcha! i thought the wheel come off a totally different car. the 17 should fit fine. you can fit any of the wide body rims from gp, regal, impala, 04-05 mc and bonn. 06-07 mc should fit too. not sure on the gxp, but i think they fit too.

thanks silverbullit- I am not making much sense today. I worked till midnight last night and had to come in at 8 this morning and will be here till midnight. wish I could see those 18's you posted about but this work computer just has a red x. the wheels I am looking at are in the for sale section on here. I tried to post the photobucket link but I think this computer is blocking the link. I don't know what the gm wheel is called I think i've seen machined polished somewhere but it looks chrome to me and would add a little bling to the banana.

back again. I have 225/60/16's on the car now diamond cut stockers. the 17's are 235/55/17's. I checked in the back and there is hardly any clearence at all between the top of the tire and the bottom of the spring on the strut. both wheels are the same width but i was worried that the 17's are going to hit the strut. I was hoping somebody could help me out with this. the 17's sound taller and wider to me but I never have mastered the tire size and width numbers. I know the 17's are taller than 16's but the tire combo is what I am not sure about. so any help and I will thank you profusely.

Check out this site for an excellent tire calculator to help determine the difference in size.
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Those wheels were made for the Monte. I don't think you will have any issues at all especially if the tires that will be mounted are the size that were installed on the factory 17's. Good luck.
