Default hey guys new guy here with a question!

whats up i just bought a new 1979 monte carlo 267 v8......i do not know much about cars, i am late in the game and am just starting to learn. i have always loved this monte carlo ever since i saw the movie training day.

now i have a couple of questions im hoping you guys with expertise can help me with. I feel that I would like to put a new exhaust system on the car. I feel it will help the perofrmance and the sound will be great too. Can you guys tell me what you think of this exhaust system.

one is cat back and one is header back, after researching i see cat is exhaust system is replaced everything after the cata converter. and header is the whole thing basically.....

well my questions are which is better system?
what are your opinions on these models?
what advantages will i get with this new model of exhaust system?
also what exhaust system did denzel have in training day in his car?

thanks guys

I can't help with all your questions, but I can tell you this. Out of those 2 choices, unless you are planning to replace that 267 with a healthy 350, I'd just go with the cat-back system. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that can help you out more.

It can handle it, it just won't make that much difference performance wise.

Most commonly a 350, wasn't offered from the factory, but is not hard to swap in.

I'm gonna have to let someone who's more familiar with your year range car answer that. There are a lot of different 350's available, plus you could have one custom built.

is this Monte your only means of transportation? If not then I would check all your options for a different motor or rebuilding the one that is currently in the car.
